Database development

1. Southeast Asia

The species checklist database has been set up in 11 countries, including over 153000 records belonging to 472 families, 6098 genera.

2. South Asia

The species checklist database has been set up in all 8 countries in South Asia, including 325 families, 3817 genera. The species distribution database has been set up in Afghanistan (at provincial level).

3. Northeast Asia

The species checklist database has been set up in Northeast Asia, including 325 families, 3698 genera. Among these, 196 families 1203 genera in Korean peninsula, 228 families 1394 genera in Japan, 318 families 3410 genera in China, 114 families 662 genera in Mongolia. The species distribution database has been set up in China, Japan and Mongolia (at provincial level). The database of plant synonyms is developed with about 100,000 records.

4. Central Asia

Compiling available flora and species checklists, species checklist database has been finished in Central Asia, including over 21000 records belonging to 139 families, 1181 genera and 9582 species. For each country, there are 127 families, 973 genera, 5559 species in Kazakhstan; 115 families, 850 genera, 4367 species in Tajikistan; 120 families 849 genera, 4081 species in Uzbekistan; 109 families, 763 genera, 2983 species in Turkmenistan; 119 families, 770 genera, 3872 species in Kyrgyzstan. There are 71 species of lycophytes and ferns, 34 species of gymnosperms and 9477 species of angiosperms in Central Asia.

5. North Asia

Species checklist database has been set up in North Asia (The Asian part of Russia), including over 48000 recordings referring to 162 families, 1151 genera, 6459 species.

The data collection of vascular plants diversity information in the European part of Russia have been started. Floras from Central Federal District of Russia has been completed.

6. Southwest Asia

More than 70000 species records were extracted from books, belonging to 225 families, 2574 genera.
