the Vice-Chair elected for IUCN Regional Asia Committee

Ma Keping was elected as the Vice-Chair for

the Regional Committee Asia IUCN

 

On November 3, the Election Officer Anshuman Saikia announced that Professor Ma Keping from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has been elected as the Vice-Chair for the Regional Committee Asia IUCN. Anshuman Saikia wished Ma Keping success in working together with Youngbae Suh and other members on the effective conduct of the activities of the Regional Committeefor Asia, IUCN.

IUCN Asia Regional Committee

The committee was established in 2011 to support the work of IUCN in Asian countries. By multi-nationalor cross-border participation, and to provide an interactive platform IUCN with ASEAN and other regional organizations. The members of the Regional Committee for Asia IUCN are: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Northern Mariana Islands, Pakistan, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Viet Nam.
